Big Rick Nunez, Lead Guitar, Lead Vocals

Born in 1963 and raised in a music-loving home between Far rockaway Queens, and Manati PR Big Rick felt the calling to music at a young age. His
first instrument was guitar, playing at home with his family. In 1977 he gave up playing and picked up sports Basket Ball, Foot Ball and his favorite
Hand Ball, one summer in 1991 he saw George Benson live at Central park and was inspired once again he had never seen someone play with
such ease and grace so it begins, in 1992 he began his quest for the music brought him to the Blues and on bass guitar, this brought him a chance,
to meet with the incomparable BB King which has catapulted Big Rick’s pursuit of a professional music career – what Big Rick terms “a turning
point” in his life – when the local blues society president awarded him with the opportunity to perform with BB King in 1995 orchestrated as a last
minute resulted in the inspiration to excel beyond his dreams. The seed was planted and now a career playing music. In 2002 Big Rick's instrument
of choice switched to electric guitar after talking with Little Milton at the Bull Durham Blues Festival in which they were both performing Little Milton
said, and I quote, Bass players are very important to all music, "But" as the lead man, the lead guitar will get you more respect from your audience as
a Blues man. In 1998 he created Big Rick & The Bombers, this was soon to become a house hold name in the Carolinas, although the band still
performs 2 to 4 nights a week Big Rick has managed to perform with and share the stage with some of the greatest artist like, Buddy Guy, Bobby
Blue Bland, Shemekia Copland, Koko Taylor, Room Full of Blues, Johnny Lang, Tower of Power, Lonnie Brooks, Herbie Mann, many more, but his
greatest Blues inspiration comes from Robert Cray, you can here a strong persuasion in Big Rick’s Music that leans toward Robert Cray. When the
call came to join the legendary Roy C. Hammond Big Rick jumped and found himself sharing the spotlight with fellow guitarist Theodis Ealy.
Together they lifted the show to a new level, as Roy C.& Theodis Ealy enjoyed unprecedented album sales and high profile tours in the US. Now
breaking away from Roy C. Big Rick has devoted 100% of his time to the immediate and extensive touring of the US.
